  2. A bank pays Rs. 240 as interest for 2 years for a sum of Rs. 3000 deposited as savings. Find the rate of interest given by the bank.

  3. If a car is sold for Rs. 200000 from its original price of Rs. 300000, find the percentage for decrease in the value of the car.

  4. By selling a speaker for Rs. 768, a man loses 20%. In order to gain 20% how much should he sell the speaker?

  5. If a mattress is marked for Rs.7500 and is available at two successive discounts of 10% and 20%, find the amount to be paid by the customer

  6. Find the compound interest for 2 \(\frac { 1 }{ 2 } \) years on Rs.4000 at 10% p.a if the interest is compounded yearly.

  7. At what rate percentage p.a will Rs.5625 amount to Rs.6084 in 2 years at compound interest?

  8. Find the rate of interest if the difference between C.I and S.I on Rs.8000 compounded annually for 2 years is Rs.20.

  19. An isosceles triangle has equal sides each 13 cm and a base 24 cm in length. Find its height.

  20. The sides of a triangle are 1.2 cm, 3.5 cm and 3.7 cm. Is this triangle a right triangle? If so, which side is the hypotenuse?

  21. If ∆ APK is an isosceles right angled triangle, right angled at K. Prove that AP2 = 2AK2.
