The college has been Estabilised by the  Shine Educational & Social welfare Trust. This trust  was setup on 3.11.2008 by “like minded persons” with varied background whose sole aim is  to  provide  Quality Education to socially, educationally & economically backward rural people around Manapparai Area and Its Surroundings

College was established by Shine Educational and Social Welfare Trust-9km to the south of Manapparai 5km before Vaiyampatty on the western side of 4LANE Road at ALATHUR. The college was inaugurated in june 2010 having separate blocks of B.Sc, B.com, B.B.A, B.C.A, with all its fully equipped labs and infrastructure. 

To provide Quality Education to the under- privileged rural students both boys and girls who wish to continue their higher education without travelling for miles. As Mahatma Gandhi said, "Villages are the backbone of our Country". We, Shine Educational and social Welfare Trust, strongly believe his words. Hence, decided to uplift the economically lower level into upper middle class by providing quality education with well equipped infrastructure.
