About College

Cherraan's Arts & Science College, Erode was established in 1991, by the benevolent and dynamic industrialist Mr.K.C.Palanisamy, Ex. M.P., with the aim of offering higher education to the students belonging to rural and semi urban area. The college has been imparting knowledge to the students in a uniqe style for the past fifteen years. It has gained good reputation, because of dedicated service and academic excellence. The college trains young men and women of quality to be leaders in all walks of life so that they may serve the people of nation in truth, justice and love.The college is affiliated to Bharathiar University.

Accordingly, the college is an agent of social change, instilling an awarenss of the great need in country for social justice, based on the dignity of the human person. thus, it strives to make its own contribution towards transformation of the present social contribution. So that justice, equality and the moral values enshrined in the constitution of India may prevail in the daily life of every citizen of India.

Cherraan has a creditable record of placement of its final year students and graduates. A good number of final year students plan to go for higher studies in India or abroad or turn entrepreneurs as in the case of the MBA students. Some have other plans in life  and do not seek a campus placement. As per recent trends about 80% of eligible final year students , who seek a placement, are placed with reputed organizations at the initiative of the Bharathiar University prior to their leaving the campus. Apart from Placement interviews on other campuses in and around Coimbatore, in which there students participate, a number of interviews were held on there campus.
