ESI Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences Research is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bengaluru. ESI-PGIMSR has a well-established ESIC Model Hospital within the college campus premises. The Hospital is under the administrative control of ESI State Medical Services, Government of Karnataka.

The college was set up with the aim to produce medical professionals to provide the excellent quality clinical care and to become a premier medical and research institution with excellent patient care and academics. College offers postgraduate and PG Diploma courses in various medical branches.
