GTB Khalsa Institute of Engineering & Technology (GTBKIET), Muktsar was established in 1997. The college was established by GTB Educational Trust, Malout. College is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and government of India. College is affiliated to Punjab Technical University Jalandhar. College aimed to function as a pace setter for technical education in the country and to faster national integration. In the span of fourteen years the institute has developed into a leading engineering and professional college of the region with state of the art infrastructure, faculty and facilities.

As a part of the university regulations, the students are required to undergo in-industry training of six months duration, in partial fulfillment of the requirements of the B. Tech degree.
