Govt. Boys College

Govt. Degree College Boys, Anantnag was established in 1950. It is the premier educational Institute of South Kashmir and is one of the biggest college of J&K state. The college is accredited with a ‘A’ grade by NAAC. The college has now become a degree college. All the subject streams like science, Humanities and Commerce are being taught for so many years. The college’s vision is to enshrine in its motto "Seek Knowledge" and take the institution to the top most level of academic excellence by keeping pace with the present demands in every field especially in moral values.

The institution is a co-educational one. The college’s mission is to create conditions and building infrastructure to enable “the institution with a potential for excellence” to become a deemed university in the near future. The vision of the college is to orient with the realization of the self and equip with the passion for service unto creation.
