About College

Government Mahatma Gandhi Memorial College (Government MGM College), established in 1958, is situated at Itarsi in Hoshangabad District of Madhya Pradesh. The college offers post graduate courses in the fields of political science, geography, economics, commerce, chemistry, zoology and mathematics. The college also has the facilities for computer and electronics education..The College has now been in existence for 48 years. The College at present stands affiliated to Barkatullah University, Bhopal. It is a grant-in-aid institution and as well augments its resources.

The college possesses a campus covering 4.5 acres of land and is located in urban area of the district.The college has Sports facilities, a modest Computer center and has constituted a Grievance redressal cell recently. As per the State government direction Career & Guidance cell has also been constituted for advising the students about their academic and career options and opportunities
