Govt. P.G. College BHEL have anatmosphere of peace & harmony surrounds the college thus creating a studious environment for the students. All the basic facilities like Bus Stop, Dispensary, shopping Centres, STD booth, Post Office, Bank are all located in the proximity of the college. This makes the college an ideally located one. Since the college is Co-ed, it is our duty to ensure safety and welfare of the girl students. The same is taken care appropriately by the college authorities . 

Govt. P.G. College BHEL is one of its kind where both boys and girls study Arts, Science and Commerce upto not only Graduation level but also Post Graduation level. This makes the college an unique one.The college was started on 28th August, 1984 by the then Hon Chief Minister of M.P. Shri Arjun Singhji, primarily to cater to the needs of the Industrial giant Navaratna company BHEL. This is the only Government college providing educational facilities to the mushrooming satellite colonies in and around BHEL.This indeed makes the college always in popular demand for the students of this area. The college continues to get infrastructural assistance from BHEL apart from financial assistance from UGC and State Govt.
