K.C. College of Education, Nawanshahr is an educational institute that determines the level of prosperity, welfare and security of people and serves as a powerful instrument of social, economic and cultural transformation necessary for the realization of the national goals. Certainly, on the quality and number of students coming out of their educational institutions will depend on their success in the great enterprise of national reconstruction whose principal objective is to relate education to the life, needs and aspirations of their people and thereby raising the standard of their living.

It was with this objective that the KC Social Welfare Trust was founded in 1999. Great men such as Sh. Kushal Chand are rarely born and are always remembered. Hence, to immortalize the memory of Sh. Kushal Chand, reverent father of Sh. Prem Gandhi, Chairman of the trust, the trust is dedicated to Sh. Kushal Chand and is named after him. It is affiliated to Guru Nank Dev University (GNDU), Amritsar.
