About College

Thiru K.Ramasamy, the Chairman of National Educational and Charitable Trust, Kovilpatti established a self finance College in the style and name of K.R.College of Arts & Science (Co-Education) in Kovilpatti with the approval of Tamil Nadu Government to provide Higher education to economically poor boys and girls in and around Kovilpatti, vide G.O. No. MS.315 dated 13.06.1997.  Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli has granted affiliation vide its Letter  No.MSU/CD/Fresh/Aff/97-98  dated 22-8-1997 to start K.R.College of Arts & Science, Kovilpatti, Thoothukudi(Dist). Now, college has completed fourteen years of academic service to rural students.

The College is situated in the land of 10 Acres and 5.5 Cents on the NH7 Road from Madurai to Tirunelveli at a distance of about 4 km from Kovilpatti town. The institution has its architecturally designed permanent Main building to house Principal Chamber, College Office, various Laboratories and Class rooms. Another separate building with Ground floor and First floor adjoining to the main building is available for Computer Science and Electronics Department. Library is functioning in a separate wing with large number of Books and Journals with all facilities. The College provides an ideal atmosphere for academic pursuits and has well equipped laboratories for all branches of science courses.
