About College

With the missionary zeal, untiring efforts, noble sacrifices and undaunted initiative of the people of the locality in general, Kaliyaganj College was brought into existence as the temple of learning on the auspicious day of 20th August 1968 to cater to the long felt thirst for knowledge of young rural aspirants in conformity with ever increasing craze for higher education in the post-independence era. Affiliated to the Gour Banga (earlier North Bengal), this college is one of the largest degree colleges in the district of Uttar Dinajpur. The college has in its own possession 12.31 acres of land enriched with the potentiality for developing it into an ideal institution for higher studies.

Meanwhile, it has attained an imposingly pleasant growth, from a humble beginning, but as a matter of fact, even today, it has miles to go. And it is growing amazingly fast.
