Our Kamaraj College aims at character formation, strengthening of mind and intellectual expansion by which one can stand on one's own feet.
Professors, Assistant professors, the basement of our college guide the students to take right decision at right time and also to choose the path that would benefit them and help them to recognize their hidden potential.

KAMARAJ COLLEGE was founded in 1966 by the Tuticorin Education Society. Thiru A.M.M.S. Ganesan Nadar was the founder Patron of the Society and the college. At present Thiru. A.M.M.S.G. Kathiresan is the Patron of our college. The college was affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University till 1990. From September 1990 the College is affiliated to Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli.
The College has been named after Bharat Ratna Shri. K. Kamaraj as a tribute to the invaluable service rendered by him to our nation, particularly to the cause of education. The College which is non-communal, non-secretarian has its paramount objective to train the students to be good citizens and to give higher educational facilities to the students of southern districts of Tamilnadu seeking collegiate education.

Our Kamaraj College History is presented to you in deep humility, but with the sense of satisfaction that accompanies a hard task sincerely accomplished. In virgin virility and pristine purity, this College may well remind a poet of the first born rose, blown out by providence in a well nourished plant. We belong to a nation which is wedded to the ideals of renunciation and service. It may not be out of place to point out how Thiru. K.KAMARAJ, undoubtedly one of the greatest leaders of our times, stood up to the above ideal. It is therefore, indeed a good fortune that the College has been named after that great son.The founding fathers of kamaraj college came forward to build a temple of learning, as a fittest tribute, to the self-sacrificing activities and noble services rendered to the progress of the country, especially for the cause of education by the great patriot Shri. K.KAMARAJ. The founders took steps to fulfill the wishes of the great leader, to impart education, particularly College Education to the poor and downtrodden pupils of the locality and also the surrounding districts.
