KMEA Engineering college is dedicated to the fond memory of Sri. C.H. Mohammed Koya, a dynamic visionary and an eminent educationalist and administrator. Established in 2002, the Institution has grown many folds in just over 10 years and became one of the major institutions among the new generation engineering colleges in Kerala. With a sound faculty base, avant-garde infrastructure and resources most illuminating, KMEA Engineering College Edathala has been a niche for all technology aspirants. The institution, since the very beginning, has attracted learners for its unique perspectives and the wide range of opportunities provided. The academic vigour here promises excellence and quality across all the branches and takes advantage of education beyond classrooms. The mission of the college is to enrich student life above academics, the institution provides a multitude of extracurricular activities including the annual cultural celebration, sports fete and technical fests. An active National Service Scheme (NSS) functions on the campus through which the volunteers participate in regular service activities like blood donation camp, awareness camps etc.

The placement cell of KMEA is constituted to provide the right perspective regarding the various career options available to the students and sufficiently train them to choose and pursue their careers of choice. The training program encompasses a three stage process to train the students to make them ready for the industry and develop the etiquettes of the corporate world. The placement department supports students with resources and ideas, a database, notification of new placements etc. The college committed to the total upliftment of the society by imparting quality professional education, aiming at modeling totally competent professionals with ingenuity, adaptability, social commitment and ethical spiritual values by creating a congenial academic ambience that kindles innovative thinking, continually upgrade the Quality Management System through empowerment and involvement.The vision is to provide good environment for individuals to transform into technologically superior, socially committed, spiritually elevated and nationally responsible citizens.
