About College

Peet Memorial Training College was founded in 1960, in memory of Rev. Joseph Peet who was one of the leading missionaries sent by the Church Missionary Society to India in 1836. The College conducts many community development programmes through Peet Extension Service (PES) and various associations viz; college union, Social Service Association, Women’s Cell, Religious Association, Alumni Association etc., Consultancy Services are provided by teachers of the college to high school and senior secondary schools under the management. 

The Department of Physical Education convenes Inter collegiate cross country race, annual games and athletic meet. The college organizes seminars, workshops and lectures by eminent personalities and conducts workshop services on every Friday morning.As part of its development plan, the college aims to build a new science block, to computerise all the work in the college, organise personality development programmes and to transact the restructured curriculum effectively for using innovative interactive methods. In the recent years, the students of Peet Memorial Training College had bagged the first, second and fourth ranks in the B.Ed. examinations.
