R.S. More College

R.S. More College,Gobindpur was established in 1959with a view to making an instrument of effective service in the field ofimparting higher education to the students from rural and backward areas of thedistrict of Dhanbad. Since their inception, R.S More College has been servingthe long felt needs of underprivileged sections of the society and Adivasi andbackward community situated close to Gobindpur College hails from interiorvillages which otherwise have no access to seats of higher learning. Most ofthe boys could not but for R.S. More College has been exposed to facilities forhigher education. R.S.More College has thus brought higher education within theeasy reach of rural population. The College teaches up to Post Graduate levelin Commerce and Degree-III Hons in Science/Commerce/Arts. The College islocated amidst natural surroundings. The entire 17 acres campus are coveredwith compound well, students take part in debates, seminars NCC,NSS and NAEPactivities. Several villages have been adopted under NAEP. Under Officer, BinodMandal of the college represented Bihar at the Republic Day, NCC parade at NewDelhi.
