S.D. Jain Girls College

S.D. Jain Girls College the aim and objective of the institution is to prepare young girls as responsible citizens of tomorrow; and the College Management spares no means to achieve this goal. The College strives to be an institution of excellence imparting quality education in Arts & Humanities and Commerce for both Higher Secondary and Degree courses under the Nagaland University. The Higher Secondary courses under NBSE will be gradually phased out starting this year.

The plan for opening IGNOU Study Centre to offer Master’s Degree in Arts, Humanities, Commerce and other equivalent disciplines is underway. As such, our current students and alumni, unemployed or working part-time, or even full-time, may pursue higher studies here itself.Confidence is infused into them through a number of personality development programmes and seminars.  In order to make them aware of effective role in society and social responsibility, a number of community related programmes are organized.Every young woman with a receptive mind finds her life in the campus a rewarding and stimulating experience.

Through the academic community consisting of faculty, staff and students the college create, integrate, and disseminate knowledge, and foster in the students  critical thinking and other intellectual skills along with the attitudes and abilities that enable them to live as educated, tolerant, and empowered leaders disseminating values to the society.
