Shri. Gulabrao Deokar College of Engineering formerly known as Shri. Sureshdada Jain College of Engineering Jalgaon established in July 1999 under the aegis of Shrikrishna Educational & Cultural Mandal, founded by President Shri. Appasaheb Gulabraoji Deokar (Ex-Minister of State, Agriculture & Transport Minister, Maharashtra) in Jalgaon with an aim to provide higher quality technical education and greater opportunities to aspiring students of the region. The institute is approved by AICTE, New Delhi, recognized by Govt. of Maharashtra and affiliated by North Maharashtra University. The institute is excel in imparting quality technical education and produce technical expert of high standard to meet the aspiration of modern global society and be instrumental in techno-socio-economic development of the nation. The mission of the institute is to be a premier institute to strive for excellence in delivery of advanced technology based programs and strongly intends to have optimum utilization of existing resources aligned to meet the expectation of the entire stake holder.  The college committed to the total upliftment of the society by imparting quality professional education, aiming at modeling totally competent professionals with ingenuity, adaptability, social commitment and ethical spiritual values by creating a congenial academic ambience that kindles innovative thinking, continually upgrade the quality management system through empowerment and involvement.

Shri. Gulabrao Deokar College of Engineering has separate hostels for Boys and Girls inside the campus, with well furnished and spacious rooms. The hostels have excellent water facility, modern kitchen and dining. The students are provided with the choice of vegetarian and non vegetarian food. The rooms are furnished with individual cots, tables, chairs, and bureau. Importance is given in maintaining discipline and security of the students. The resident warden of each hostel takes care to see that all the needs of the students are met and a homely atmosphere with a sense of security is created. Immediate medical care is given to hostel students on requirement. The placement cell of  Shri. Gulabrao Deokar College of Engineering is constituted to provide the right perspective regarding the various career options available to the students and sufficiently train them to choose and pursue their careers of choice. The training program encompasses a three stage process to train the students to make them ready for the industry and develop the etiquettes of the corporate world. The placement department supports students with resources and ideas, a database, notification of new placements etc.
