Shrimati Indira Gandhi College

Shrimati Indira Gandhi College, has its origin in the long cherished desire of the National College Council to establish a college exclusively for girls,to overcome the woefully inadequate provision for the higher education of women,that existed in the town till the eighties,with no college for women having been started for the last three decades and many deserving and intelligent girls being denied the privilege of collegiate education.

They could not make much headway owing to the ban on the opening of new colleges. The mission of the college is to enable their students to acquire an integrated personality,endowed with character,culture,compassion and discipline.

Placement Activities were carried out only because of the Infrastructure Facilities provided by the Management the keen and continued effort of our Principal,Chairperson of the Cell by mailing and coordinating with the various organizations the Career Guidance and Placement cell is able to seek and the right placement for our students in various reputed organisations.

Many pre-placement talks,aptitude tests,interviews and discussions have enhanced confidence in the students and we are happy to put-forth that quite a number of students who faced placement programmes have been employed with a good footing and package.
