Swami Vivekananda College of Education (SVCOE), Patiala was established by Shri Raghu Nath Rai Memorial Educational & Charitable Trust, Mohali (Pb.) This Trust is founded by a group of well-known educationists, who have made significant contributions in the field of Education in the region. The trust is managed by a Governing Body headed by Shri Ashwani Garg, Chairman and Shri Ashok Garg, President of the Trust, well known educationist. The aim of the college is to develop skills required in selecting and organizing learning experiences and to develop skills involved in dealing with the academic and personal problems of learners. The Institute is involved to acquire knowledge and develop an understanding of the various procedures and techniques of evaluation and their classroom applications. The college is approved by NCTE, Jaipur and Govt. of Punjab and affiliated to Punjabi University, Patiala
