IBPS Clerk 2021 Exam Pattern

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts this Online Common Written Exam for Clerical Cadre posts. The examination will be two-tier i.e. the online examination will be held in two phases, preliminary and main. Total marks of the Preliminary exam is 100 in a duration of 1 hour for objective type questions & total marks of the Main exam is 200 in a duration of 2 hours for objective type questions. IBPS Clerk Prelims Exam Pattern

  • There are three sections in this exam that are English language, reasoning, and quantitative aptitude.
  • The number of questions in the English language is 30, in Reasoning Ability are 35 and in Quantitative Aptitude are 35.
  • There are total 100 questions. Each correct answer will be counted for 1 mark each.
  • There are negative marks for each wrong answer and that is 0.25 marks.
  • The total time allotted for the examination is 1 hour.

  • The number of questions in general/financial awareness is 50, in the English language are 40, in reasoning ability and computer aptitude are 50 and in quantitative ability are 50.
  • There are total 190 questions. Each correct answer will be counted for 1 mar each.
  • There are negative marks for each wrong answer and that is 0.25 marks.
  • The total time allotted for the examination is 160 minutes.
