Common Entrance Examination for Design ( CEED )

The objective of the Common Entrance Exam for Design (CEED) is to assess the candidate’s aptitude for design involving visual perception ability, drawing skills, logical reasoning, creativity, communication, and problem-solving skills. CEED is conducted by IIT Bombay. It is a qualifying examination for admission to Master of Design (MDes) programmes at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIITDM Jabalpur, and IIT Kanpur, and to Ph.D programmes in Design at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, and IIT Kanpur. Qualifying in CEED alone does not guarantee admission to any of these programmes. Admitting institutes may conduct further tests and/or interviews for the final selection/admission.

CEED 2019 2021 Admit Card

Admit cards will be available for downloading from the CEED website from January 1, 2019, till January 19, 2019. Please take a clear printout (in colour) of the admit card before coming to the examination centre

Aspirants need to note that CEED admit card is a very important document and no candidate will be allowed to appear for CEED exam if they are not carrying a valid Common Entrance Examination for Design admit card on the day of the exam.

Steps to Download CEED Admit Card

Step 1: Visit CEED 2019 official website

Step 2: Click on the “CEED 2019 Admit Card” tab

Step 3: Enter email ID and password

Step 4: View CEED 2019 admit card

Step 5: Download CEED admit card & take a coloured print of the document

Valid Photo IDs (anyone) that are allowed to be carried to the exam hall with the admit card are

  • Voter ID
  • Passport
  • PAN Card
  • Aadhaar Card
  • Driving Licence
  • Identity Card issued by the institute last attended
