University of Petroleum and Energy Studies Design Aptitude Test

University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) conducts online Design Aptitude Test in order to offer admission to aspirants in design programmes on offer by the college. University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) offers design courses both at the undergraduate and postgraduate level to aspirants under its School of Design Studies (SoDS). UPES DAT is an online test. Aspirants need to take UPES DAT 2019 in order to secure admission in MDes and BDes courses on offer by School of Design Studies (SoDS) at UPES.

To secure admission in design programmes at University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), aspirants have to give DAT and those who clear this admission round then need to appear for the interviews and portfolio round

UPES DAT 2019 Exam Pattern:

The UPES DAT Exam pattern for B.Des and M.Des programs will be conducted in two modes online and offline. Their details have been given below:

Online

  • UPES DAT Exam Pattern has objective multiple choice questions.
  • Total 25 questions carrying 4 marks each.
  • 50 minutes for completing the paper.
  • 2 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Offline

  • The offline test will be conducted at the interview centers allotted to candidates.
  • The paper comprises three sections.
  • Vehicle sketching section will comprise 50 marks
  • 30 marks for Design Activity Section
  • 20 marks for Creativity Analysis
