Master of Science in Information Technology ( MSIT )

Master of Science in Information Technology ( MSIT ) programme is being offered by “Consortium of Institutions of Higher Learning” ( CIHL ), formed by the universities in Andhra Pradesh, in collaboration with leading universities from across the globe. MSIT aims to produce skilled Professionals who have knowledge of the core principles underlying information technology and an understanding of emerging industry trends. The MSIT ( MS in IT or Master of Science in Information Technology ) is a two year post graduate programme in Computer Science. MSIT is an innovative multi-university interdisciplinary post-graduate programme. MSIT offers the latest domains specializations on par with international universities. Computer Networks and security as a domain specialization is offered for the first time in the state only in MSIT. Bio-Informatics, Software Engineering and E-commerce are also the domains which have very high demand in the current software industry. The GAT test will have 43 questions on quantitative ( mathematical ) ability involving arithmetic, elementary algebra, geometry, inequalities, graphs ( data interpretation ), sets, relations, etc. and

29 questions on analytical / logical reasoning and

28 questions in verbal ( proficiency in English ) involving sentence completion, analogy, reading comprehension, antonyms, etc.

The GAT test is Computer based.

The test will be for two and a half hours duration and will contain 100 questions.

Structure of the Test:

The MSIT Aptitude test consists of three sections, namely:

1) Section I: Verbal Ability: This section assesses the candidate's familiarity with English language usage.
