Engineering | SMIT | PG Admission Procedure

The Sikkim Manipal University was established in 1995. It is the first government-private initiative in the region. SMU is recognized by the University Grants Commission and approved by the Government of India. It is the first ever Public Private Partnership ( PPP ) in the country for higher Education and Health Care services. Various institutions are running under Sikkim Manipal University. Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology is offering various UG and PG Engineering / MBA / MCA programmes. Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology has announced Admission to the various UG and PG Engineering / MBA / MCA programmes including engineering lateral entry. Admissions for the UG Engineering are based on the JEE ( Main ) All India Score or All India Examination conducted by Manipal University or SMIT offline test conducted by Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology. Admissions for the PG Engineering courses are based on the GATE / MU-OET / Entrance Test by SMU at Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology ( SMIT ). Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology ( SMIT ) PG Engineering Entrance Exam Admission procedure-2015

Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology has announced Admission to the various PG Engineering courses. Admissions for the PG Engineering courses are based on the GATE / MU-OET / Entrance Test by SMU at Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology ( SMIT ).

Screening Test conducted at SMIT by the concerned Department

While preparing the merit, 50% weightage is given to aggregate marks obtained in B.E / B.Tech and 50% weightage for marks obtained in screening test.

Along with the application form, candidates need to send fee for entrance test

Candidates through Entrance Examination conducted by Manipal University, Manipal

Four seats are reserved for Sikkim Government nominees. Candidates seeking admission under this category should contact Director - Technical Education, HRDD, Government of Sikkim.

Teaching assistantships are awarded to deserving regular candidates enrolled in the M Tech Courses.
