Law School Admission Test India ( LSAT )

The Law School Admission Test ( LSAT ) is a half-day, standardized test administered four times each year at designated testing centers throughout the world. The test is an integral part of the law school admission process in the United States, Canada, and a growing number of other countries. It provides a standard measure of acquired reading and verbal reasoning skills that law schools can use as one of several factors in assessing applicants.

LSAT India 2021 General Instructions

LSAT India Entrance Examination General Instructions-2015:

Candidates who are seeking application & admission in law colleges under LSAT 2015 must read the following instrucitons carefully,

Candidates are required to reach the test centre latest by 10:00 AM on the date of the examination.

Candidates reporting at the test centre after 10:00 AM will not be admitted.

The test administrator is not authorized to admit candidates arriving later than 10:00 AM.

The test will start at sharp 10:30 AM. Tests will be conducted in a comfortable environment.

The candidate needs to bring the following to the test centre:

Admit Card: Candidates can download their Admit Card from official website after authentication of their payment.

HB pencils, sharpener and erasers.

One valid ( Original and non-expired ) photo identification proof.

The only acceptable forms of ID are:

  • Driver’s license
  • Passport
  • Election Card / Voter ID
  • PAN Card
  • Photo Identity issued by ( School, College or University )
  • UID / Aadhar Card
  • SC/ ST Certificate with photograph

Please note that following are not acceptable as IDs on the day of the test:

Photocopies ( attested or otherwise )

Notarized copies

Learner’s driving license

If a registrant for five-year LSAT—India does not have any of the above IDs, she/he will be admitted upon presentation of ANY TWO of the following, in original:

  • Original Admit Card issued by University/Board for Twelfth Standard Examination (photo)
  • School Identity Card (photo)
  • Tenth Pass Certificate/Mark Sheet that has Date of Birth on it

Candidates who are unable to produce valid ID, in original and non-expired will not be admitted into the testing centre and shall not be offered a test-fee refund.

The test invigilator, after checking the admit card of the candidate, will guide the candidate to the seat allotted to him / her in the examination hall. The candidate must ensure that he / she occupies the seat allotted to him / her by verifying the test registration number pasted / written on the desk and indicated in the admit card.

On receipt of the question paper candidates will tear open the tamper proof seal only when the invigilator asks them to do so.

Any candidate who opens the seal prior to the announcement by the invigilator may be liable to get disqualified from the test. When the candidate gets the question paper, he / she must make sure that the question paper is in right condition. In case of any issues, the matter should be immediately brought to the notice of the invigilator.

The question paper contains four sections. The candidate must read the directions given for each section of the test carefully. If he / she skip the directions, he / she may miss some important test related information and lose credit for some questions in that section.

Candidates should put their pencils down when the invigilator announces that the time is over. Candidates found marking answers even after this announcement may be disqualified. After the test is over, candidates should remain seated until the invigilator collects the answer sheets and question papers. The candidate will be allowed to leave the hall only after the answer sheets and question papers of all the candidates in the examination hall have been collected and accounted for.

Candidates please notice that they have to copy the full certifying statement on the back of the Answer sheet ( OMR sheet ) in their handwriting. Candidates need to ensure that they re-write the given text in their hand writing in the given tab, without which, their test scores will not be considered for evaluation.
