Patna University Law Entrance Examination

Patna Law College was established in July 1909. Prior to the establishment of this Institution. The teaching of Law used to be imparted in Patna College. Till 1917 the College was affiliated to Calcutta University. When Patna University come into existence in 1917, it became affiliated to it. Upto 1st January, 1952, Patna Law College was a Government institution and functioned as an independent unit. From that date it became a consitiuent college of Patna University under the Patna University Act. 1951.

The university shall conducted Entrance Test for admission into LL.M ( Two years Master Degree course ), herein after called MLET, for the session 2015-16.

The admission shall be made strictly according to merit list prepared on the basis of said Entrance Test, subject to fulfilling of eligibility requirements mentioned below and the general laws of the university concerning admission.The Admission is purely based on Entrance Test .About Patna university Law Entrance Examination complete Details are shown in below .

Reservations

The provisions relating to the reservation of seats in force in the State are applicable as per the provisions incorporated in the Patna University Admission Ordinance Admission against these seats will be made on merit provided the candidate has passed the Qualifying Examination and appeared in the Test and secured the qualifying 33% marks in MLET Examination

Appearance in the test is mandatory in order to get admission for all the candidates belonging to any category

The reserved category candidates shall have to submit a copy of the certificate mentioning that the candidate belongs to particular reserved category issued by an officer not below the rank of S.D.O 3% seats shall also be reserved as over and above of the total sanctioned seat ( i.e. 03% of total 20 seats ) for physically disabled candidates comprising visually impaired, hearing impaired, orthopedically handicapped and the result of such candidates shall be published along with General merit list

The merit list of such disabled person shall be prepared on the basis of percentage fixed separately for each category i.e. Visually impaired ( 1 % ); Hearing impaired ( 1 % ); Orthopedically Handicapped ( 1 % )

The candidates having less than 40% of disability shall not be entertained Higher degree of disability shall on the first place, be the criteria of selection for admission
