Management Aptitude Test ( MAT )

Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is the prestigious management entrance exam which acts as a gateway for admission to MBA/PGDM courses. It is conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA). MAT scores are considered by more than 600 B-Schools across India. It is the entrance test of national level conducted four times in a year. Candidates wish to pursue MBA course can apply anytime for MAT. Every year, the first MAT exam will be held in the month of February, May, September, and December respectively.

MAT Entrance 2021 Exam Pattern

MAT exam pattern generally remains the same every year. As of now, no change in the exam pattern of MAT 2018 December exam has been notified by the officials. The exam will be conducted in both offline and online mode and will be held four times a year- February, May, September and December.
Duration of the exam will be 2.5 hours. Candidates attempting MAT must ensure that they check the exam pattern carefully to understand what kind of question one can expect, duration of exam, sections in the exam paper etc. The exam is conducted for two and a half hours. The test covers two hundred (200) questions in 150 minutes. The aspirant is tested in the following five areas: Indian and Global Environment, Language Comprehension, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Mathematical Skills, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning. There are 40 questions in each section. Each question carries one mark, whereas, one/fourth mark is deducted for every wrong answer. Let us have a look at the detailed exam pattern:

Candidates are required to answer Multiple Choice Questions
There is no sectional time limit
The question paper will be divided into 5 sections:
1. Language Comprehension
2. Intelligence and Critical Reasoning
3. Data Analysis and Sufficiency
4. Mathematical Skills
5. Indian and Global Environment
Every section will have 40 questions
MAT question paper will comprise a total of 200 questions.
