Admission Procedure :

The admission will be done on the basis of merit in the entrance test to be conducted by H.P. University, Shimla.

Resolving a Tie:

The following Formulae shall be adopted to resolve a tie for Admission:

In case of a tie in marks scored in the entrance test, the candidate securing higher %age of marks in the qualifying exam shall be admitted first.
Even if the tie is not resolved, the candidate having higher aggregate marks in any two of the following shall be admitted first: Matriculation / Hr. Sec. Part-I / Hr. Sec. Part-II / Prep / Pre-Med / Pre-Engineering / Intermediate / any other equivalent examination.
Further, if the tie is still not resolved, the candidate younger in age shall be admitted first.

Counselling Procedure :

The counseling shall be held in the H.P. University campus for admission to the MCA course2015. The candidates are required to check the website of the Department (www.hpucs.ac.in) or http://hpuniv.nic.in for the results, merit list and counseling schedules.
No separate result cards and intimation regarding counseling shall be sent to the candidates. The counselling shall be held strictly as per the duly published counselling schedule posted on the website.

Required Documents For Counselling :

The candidate has to attend the counseling in person along with all the original testimonials & attested copies of the following certificates at the time of attending the counselling / interview:

Proof of Age ( Matriculation/ 10th class certificate )
10+2 certificate
Graduation certificate having certificates of all semesters/ years.
Category certificate i.e. SC/ST/IPDP/Antodaya, if applicable
Single girl child affidavit, if applicable
H.P. Bonafide certificate in case of SC/ST candidates
Certificate of Physical handicapped.

Note:

Merely appearing in the entrance exam does not entitle the candidate for the right to admission unless the candidate fulfills the eligibility criteria for admission to the MCA course.
