The Association of MCA Institutes in Maharashtra is registered as 'Management Association of MCA Institutes' bearing No. MAH/ 1084/04/A.nagar dated 31/12/2004.

'Networking for a bright future' is the motto of the Management Association of MCA Institutes. The chief role of the Association is that of a significant contributor to the field of IT and to the cause of revolutionizing the study of Computer Application at the postgraduate level.

The Association reserves the right to add or delete the examination centres due to unforseen circumstances during the conduct of MAMI-MCA-CET-2014 at a center(s) and in the contingencies like incidence of mass copying, leakage of question paper, entrance of unauthorized persons in the examination centres / halls, natural calamities, riots, etc. rendering it impossible for smooth conduct of MAMI-MCA-CET-2014. The Competent Authority may cancel the examination at such or all center(s).

Management Association of MCA Institutes ( MAMI  ) MCA Entrance Examination Syllabus – 2015:

MAMI-MCA-CET 2015 is conducted by Competent Authority appointed by the Association for taking admission to MCA program in the government, Govt. Aided, University Managed, University Departments and Unaided Institutes in the Maharashtra State for the academic session 2015.

Management Association of MCA Institutes (MAMI) has announced the exam dates for MAMI Master of Computer Application Common Entrance Test (MAMI-MCA-CET 2015), which will be held in July-2015. The MAMI-MCA-CET will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2015.

Question Paper Structure:

The questions in this paper will cover:

  1. Logical reasoning,
  2. Quantitative reasoning,
  3. High school mathematics,
  4. Vocabulary, English comprehension and verbal ability.

A good grasp of the following topics of high school the mathematics ( up to the 12 standard ) will be useful :

Syllabus For MAMI-MCA-CET-2015:

Mathematics Syllabus:

Algebra:

Fundamental operations in Algebra, Expansion, Factorization, Quadratic equations, indices, logarithms, arithmetic, geometric and harmonic progressions, bionomical theorem, permutations and combinations.

Co-ordinate Geometry:

Rectangular Cartesian co-ordinates, equations of a line, midpoint intersections etc. equations of a circle formulae, pair of straight lines, parabola, ellipse and hyperbola, simple geometric transformations such as translation, rotation, scaling.

Differential Equations:

Differential equations of first order and their solutions, linear differential equations with constant coefficients, homogenous linear differential equations.

Trigonometry:

Simple identities, trigonometric equations, properties of triangles, solution of triangles,height and distance, inverse function.

Probability and Statistics:

Basic concepts of probability theory, Averages, Dependent and independent events, frequency distributions and measures of dispersions, skewness and kurtosis, random variable and distribution functions, mathematical expectations, Binomial, Poisson, normal distribution, curve fitting and principle of least squares, correlation and regression.

Arithmetic:

Ratios and proportions, problems on time-work, distance-speed, percentage etc.

Basic Set Theory and Functions:

Set relations and mappings.

Menstruation:

Areas, triangles and quadrilaterals, area and circumference of circles, volumes and surface areas of simple solids such as cubes, spheres, cylinders and cones.

Computer Concepts Syllabus:

Computer Basics:

Organization of a computer, Central Processing Unit (CPU), Structure of instructions in CPU, input / output devices, computer memory, memory organization, back-up devices.

Data Representation:

Representation of characters, integers, and fractions, binary and hexadecimal representations, Binary Arithmetic : Addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, signed arithmetic and two’s complement arithmetic, floating point e-presntation of numbers, normalized floating point representation, Boolean algebra, truth tables, Venn diagrams.

Computer Architecture:

Block structure of computers, communication between processor and I /O devices, interrupts.

Computer Language:

Assembly language and high level language, Multi programming and time sharing operating systems, Computer Programming in C.

Operating System basics:

Multiprogramming and timesharing operating systems.

Any one book out of the following suggested books or any other book can be used as a reference book for CET Examination.
