Kerala Commissionerate of Entrance Examinations ( Kerala CEE )

The Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations was established in 1983 as a separate set up for the conduct of Entrance Examinations for admission to Professional Courses in the State as per G.O.(Ms) No.31/83/H.Edn. Dated 19.02.1983. The Higher Education Department in the Secretariat is functioning as the administrative department of the Commisionerate of Entrance Examinations.

The Commissionerate has been conducting thirteen Entrance Examinations, both for Undergraduate and Post Graduate Professional Courses. Of these examinations conducted in a time bound manner and catering to the needs of the aspirants of Professional Courses, the Kerala Engineering Agricultural Medical Entrance Examinations ( KEAM ) is the major one in which near about one lakh twenty five thousand candidates participate every year.

The Entrance Examination for admission to Post Graduate Medical Courses ( PGM ), Kerala for the year 2015, is re-scheduled to 08.02.2015 ( Sunday ) at Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam and Kozhikode.

Kerala CEE 2021 PG - Eligibility Criteria

Kerala Commissionerate of Entrance Examinations ( Kerala CEE ) for PG Medical Entrance Exam Eligibility Criteria – 2015

Nationality:

Applicants should have satisfied any of the following conditions.

1. Indian Citizens of Kerala origin.

2. Candidates who are sons / daughters of Non-Keralite parents, who have obtained MBBS Degree from any of the Medical Colleges in the State of Kerala. But they will not be eligible for Communal / Special / PD reservation benefits.

Age Limit:

There is no Upper age limit for General Quota candidates

Under ordinary circumstances ( i.e. for those service quota candidates, whose retirement age is 56 years ) the upper age limit for getting admission will be 48 years for Postgraduate Degree Courses and 49 for Post Graduate Diploma Courses as on 01-01-2015, for Health Services candidates and Municipal Service candidates.

But for those candidates in the service of DHS, who submit a bond ( Rs.100/- non judicial stamp paper ) at the time of admission, that they shall serve the Government of Kerala in any capacity which the Government deems fit after their retirement, up to the age of 60 years ( the retirement age in MES and IMS ), as per the terms and conditions prescribed by the Government and that they will not take up employment elsewhere during this period if the government has requisitioned their services, the upper age limit of such service candidates drawn from DHS will be 52 years for PG Degree courses and 53 years for PG Diploma courses.

 For those candidates who possess Diploma and are eligible for 1 year reduction in the duration of course, the upper age limit for the admission to PG Medical Degree Courses will be 49 years and 53 years as in the case.

For MESQ and IMS candidates, upper age limit will be 52 years for PG Degree courses and 53 years for PG Diploma courses, as on 01-01-2015.

Educational Qualification:

Those candidates who are in possession of MBBS degree or provisional MBBS pass certificate recognized by MCI with MBBS qualification registered permanently or provisionally with MCI or State Medical Council and who have completed one year of internship or likely to complete it on or before 31st March 2015 are eligible to apply for PGM- 2015.

Admission to such candidates will be given only after obtaining registration of T.C. Medical Council.

Qualifying Criteria:

All candidates seeking admission to Post Graduate Medical Degree / Diploma courses in the State of Kerala for the academic year 2015-16 shall have to qualify the PG Medical Entrance Examination- 2015 ( PGM- 2015 ) conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Government of Kerala.

In order to be eligible for admission in any Post Graduate Medical course in 2015- 16, it shall be necessary for a candidate to obtain a minimum score of 50% in the PG Medical Entrance Examination-2015.

However in respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste ( SC ), Scheduled Tribes ( ST ), Socially and Educationally Backward Classes ( SEBC ) and Service Quota the minimum percentage shall be 40. In respect of candidates with locomotory disability of lower limbs, the minimum percentage shall be 45.
