Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences is now called as Swami Ram Himalayan University. 60 seats are reserved for permanent residents of Uttarakhand. Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU) is conducting Pre-Medical Entrance Exam (PMEE) annually for the admission to the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S) course offered at the institute. 40% M.B.B.S seats are offering to the candidates belongs from the state of Uttarakhand and the remaining seats are for students from other parts of India. HIHT PMEE 2017 will took place in the Month of January 2017.
