Police is a very important arm of the Civil Administration, thus Goa Police celebrates this week as Goa Police Day and the entire week as Goa Police Week.
During the week, utmost priority has been assigned to development of police community relationship and programmes like plantation of trees in close cooperation with the Forest Department, seminars & meetings for educating the public on road safety & crime prevention awareness etc are conducted. Goa Police Department has recently released a recruitment notification for Goa Police Constable Recruitment 2014. The department is going to recruit 222 vacancies of Police Constable ( Armed police ) by direct Recruitment of Details are given in below .

Pay Scale:

PB-1 Rs.5200-20200 and Grade Pay Rs.1900/- plus other usual allowances as admissible from time-to-time

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must possess Secondary School Certificate Examination or equivalent qualification.

For Male Candidates

1. Secondary School Certificate Examination or equivalent qualification.

2. Minimum height of 168 cms.

3. Chest: unexpanded - 80 cms and expanded - minimum expansion - 5 cms.

4. Should undergo and qualify in Physical Efficiency Test as follows:-

One mile Race to be completed in 6 Vi minutes, Long Jump - 3.30 metres ( 3 chances ) , High Jump - 1.05 metres ( 3 chances )

5. Should pass Written Examination and Oral Interview conducted by the Police Department.

6. Knowledge of Konkani.

7. Desirable - Knowledge of Marathi.

Female Candidates

1. Secondary School Certificate Examination or equivalent qualification.

2. Minimum height of 160 cms.

3. Weight not less than 45 kgs.

4. Should undergo and qualify in Physical Efficiency Test as follows:- 800 metres Run in 4 minutes., Long Jump - 2.70 metres ( 3 chances ), High Jump - 0.90 metres ( 3 chances ).

5. Should pass Written Examination and Oral Interview conducted by the Police Department.

6. Knowledge of Konkani.

7. Desirable - Knowledge of Marathi.

Age Limit:

Age limit is 18 years to 25 years as on 14-08-2014.

The upper age relaxation is 05 years for SC / ST / Children of Freedom Fighter / Sportsperson, 03 years for OBC, 10 years for SC / ST Sportsperson and 08 years for OBC Sportsperson.

Age Relaxation

Relax able for Government servants up to 5 years and also relax able for a maximum period of 3 years to Home Guards who have put in a minimum of 3 years of service.

Selection Procedure:

Candidates will be selected based on performance in Physical Efficiency Test, Written Examination and Oral Interview.

Admit Card / Hall ticket

Exam Date- will specify in the Hall ticket.

Goa Police will provide Admit Card / Hall ticket for the Recruitment Advertisement Notification 2014, Candidates can download Hall ticket from www.goapolice.org.
