About College

Late Prasanta Kumar Bose, worthy son of Late Acharya Girish Chandra Bose, was the Principal - in - Charge of the newly created Commerce Department till 1964-65. Affiliation to Honours Course was accorded to this college by the University of Calcutta w.e.f. 1970 session. 

This College continued functioning as an evening college in the said school building till middle of 1981. It was shifted to its present building at 35, Scott Lane (now renamed as 35, Rajkumar Chakraborty Saran i), Kolkata - 700009, after being duly handed over to the College authority by the state Govt. of West Bengal.
