Alipurduar College

Alipurduar College (AC), Jalpaiguri was established in 1957. This is a renowned college in Jalpaiguri District. The aim of the college is to excel as a higher education center for Humanities, Commerce and Science streams and also to contribute towards the spread of value-based education. The College is associated with Well-qualified and experienced lecturers to help the students in accomplishing their aim. The college is recognized by UGC under 2(f) & 12(b). The college offers a wide choice of undergraduate courses both at honours and general level in disciplines of Arts, Science and Commerce. The College is well equipped with all modern facilities.  

 

The college is affiliated to North Bengal University, established in 1962 with a goal to disseminate knowledge to fulfill growing socio-economic and technical manpower needs in the six North Bengal districts and the neighboring state of Sikkim. This was the first University in the region. The University has played a pioneering role since inception in spreading higher education and scientific attitudes within the predominantly rural areas that comprise its vast jurisdictional territory.
