About College

Bagnan College, Howrah  was established in 1958.  The College is affiliated to Calcutta University and is a Co-Education College. The College offers Arts and Science and Commerce  stream. The College is volunteered to be assessed by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and submitted its Self-Study-Reports (SSR). There vision is to produce honest, aware and truly educated citizens of the country who will place the good of the country and society over their personal well-being. To produce citizens who are respectful to the tradition and culture of the country, aware of their social relevance and importance, and above all confidence.

The college has been catering to the educational needs of both men and women of a vast area centering Bagnan within its limitations in all the three departments in arts, science and commerce. In the year 2000 honorable M.P. Hannan Molla donated 12 lakh rupees for preparing college rooms. In the year 2005-06 the college authority bought about 0.26 acre of land for sports purpose.
