Bankura Sammilani College

Bankura Sammilani College, Bankura was established in 1948. It was established by  the Bankura Sammilani Registered Society, a social service organization, with the noble & prudent vision of propagating higher education among the people of Bankura and neighboring districts, populated by financially weaker people of which a good fraction is scheduled caste, schedule tribe and other backward classes people. College attempts to foster a strong, vibrant, warm and valued relationship amongst the senior and junior students, teaching & non-teaching staff members.

 

The College has been accredited by the National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2006 as the first one in the district and is undergoing reformation in all infra and super structural facilities. The uplift needed for its becoming a centre of excellence is earnestly cared now by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the college. It is affiliated by Burdwan University.  The College it still growing with dreams to help creating mankind destined to equality, fraternity and knowledge absolute.
