Berhampore Girls' College

Berhampore Girls' College (BGC), Murshidabad was established in 1946. The college is affiliated to the University of Kalyani and is the first government sponsored girls' college in the state of West Bengal accredited by NAAC with B grade. The College believes in offering to the society multifaceted dynamic young women and thus lays stress on an all-round development of its students. The students are encouraged to take part in the various extra-curricular activities like the annual sports meet, the foundation day celebrations and the annual college social. The aim of the college is to be the leading college in the state of West Bengal and to set benchmarks for others to spread the light of knowledge among women with the view to enable them to make significant marks in the academic map of West Bengal.
