Bhagini Mandal Chopda's College of Social Work

Bhagini Mandal Chopda's College of Social Work is established in 1942. It has been recognized by Maharashtra Government and affiliated to the North Maharashtra University. The college is working for the all-round development of women and children as well as for the awareness of women for their educational and economical development. Along with we are working for the awareness of women for the social work, service for society and empowerment of the women. The Inspiration behind this work is our guide, philosopher late freedom fighter Shah Govardhan Bhikaridas. We call him "Babaji". He was the follower of Gandhism. He played a major role in North Maharashtra in the fight for freedom. He assisted Mahatma Gandhi, Lokmanya Tilak, Sane Guruji and all the national heroes for the fight for freedom.

The mission of the college is to provide professional training in social work and develop a sense of civic consciousness and social responsibility in the students; Develop leadership which can generate social economic growth in our society through the process of community Development & extension; Provide such insights and skill that will help in problems solving in any field of Society; Train personnel in policy making, planning, direct functionary work and research in the field of social welfare through classroom teaching, research and field work strengthened by various service project. The vision of the college is to identify problems that affecting society to economic and social development, to seek solution for removing them and to organise society to help themselves in solving them require considerable knowledge to human behavior. Socio-economics structures and process of development and change in a given society. In the college Co-curricular activities has a broad sweep which help the students to understand themselves and their society. The Class-room learning is reinforced during field work where students learn through first hand experience. The college strived to provide socially relevant education wherebuy it would not only professionals but also responsible citizens of country.
