About College

Bijoy Pal Memorial B.Ed College, Burnpur was started for the development of well trained teachers to fulfill the need of qualified teachers in the region. The college offers one-year Bachelor of Education program. The College offers the course with the approval from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The college has well experienced teachers to enlighten the aspiring teachers. It is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure and modern facilities in its campus.

The College is affiliated to the University of Burdwan. This University was started in 1960 with Sukumar Sen as its first Vice-chancellor. It occupies an exalted place amongst the universities of West Bengal. It has been awarded with 4 star status by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) to acknowledge the contribution of Burdwan University in the educational development of the state. The jurisdiction of the university spreads across five districts of West Bengal - Burdwan, Hooghly (excluding Serampore Subdivision), Bankura, Birbhum and Purulia, nourishing more than 100 colleges.
