Chapra Bangaljhi Mahavidyalaya(CBM), Nadia was established in 2000. The College is leading a vital role to promote the higher education in this field. The objective of the founders of this college is to provide a scope & opportunity of higher education to the people of these locality sepecially financially backward students. This is a Self financing, co education college.  The college has highly qualified faculty members who regularly update their knowledge and skills. Many teachers follow the latest teaching methodologies, incorporating interactive techniques along with technological aids.

The College is affiliated to University of Kalyani, established in 1960. The University of Kalyani was set-up in the post independence period. The University is an academic hub of sub urban region of West Bengal. The University provides academic guidance and leadership to several affiliated degree colleges and its territorial jurisdiction extends to the districts of Nadia, Murshidabad and parts of North 24 Parganas.
