Debra Thana Sahid Kshudiram Smriti Mahavidyalaya (DTSKSM), Paschim Medinipur was established in 2006. The college was started to impart the higher education to this region and promote social, cultural and moral values with a view to uplift the status of personal and professional life. The college offers under graduate courses in Arts stream. 

The Institute has state-of-the-art technologies and infrastructure. It is affiliated to Vidyasagar University, a renowned university of West Bengal. It was established in 1981 and  named after one of the most illustrious sons of Bengal as well as one of the doyens of Indian Renaissance; Pandit Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar. The University is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
