Deoghar College

For a long period of time the backward region of Santal Pargana of Jharkhand was rendered weal, fragile and squarely barren due to apathy, indifference and insensitivity of the Bihar government. Unfortunately, the price of this apathy also was paid by the people of this region. 

It was counted among the most economically backward regions of India. It was during this time when Santal Pargana was facing turmoil, a group of enlightened thinkers decided to reshape the destiny of Deoghar district. In 1948, a group of students of this region reached out to Pandit Binodanand Jha, the most respected leader of this region at that time and rendered their earnest urge for a Degree College in the region.
