Doaba Institute of Engineering and Technology (DIET), Mohali was established in 2006 as a part of Doaba Group of Colleges. The institute is affiliated to the Punjab Technical University (PTU), Jalandhar and the courses are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

The campus is spanned over lush green land of more than 10 acres and is located on the State Highway and is less than 12km from Chandigarh.. The institute is easily accessible from Chandigarh, Mohali, and Panchkula.
