About College

Durgapur College of Commerce & Science, Panagar was established in 2003. The college is a Self Financed Degree College and Approved by the Department of Higher Education Govt. of West Bengal. The college is the dream and aspiration of the reowned industrialist R.N. Majumder.The college is founded with the joint effort and and devoted works of the members of trust and management. The college is affiliated to the University of Burdwan and recongized by the UGC.

Breaking through the barrier of time and space and in the background of privatization, liberalization and globalization, DCCS has emerged as the first self financing full fledged college under the University of Burdwan with effect from 2003 session with U.G. and P.G. courses in different subjects.The aim of the college is to create and sustain an academic environment conductive to academic and professional excellence and also provide world-class education to the inspired youth.
