Gitaram Institute of Management (GIM), Murshidabad was established in 2001 by the berhampore gitaram academy. The college is affiliated to the west Bengal university of technology. The society is registered as non-profit making society under the society registration act, government of west bengal. The society broad aim is alround development of society at large. The college seeks to promote the spread of education and moral upleaftment of the younger generation. The Institute is governed by the Board of eminent personalities and educationists for forming a planned curriculum that takes care of all essentials of a professional course.

The institute firmly believes that a good teacher-student combination is the basic and most important aspect for achieving academic excellence.
