About College

Haldia Government College (HGC), Haldia was established in 1988. It is an affiliated, Co education and private college. The college was started to promote higher education in this back ward region.  Its aim is to cater the needs of the rural youths of Bengal. The College has well experienced teachers to enlighten the aspiring students. The college offers under graduate course in Arts and science Stream. The curriculum is designed by the Boards of Studies of Vidyasagar University. The college has state-of-the-art technologies and infrastructure.

The college is affiliated to Vidyasagar University, established in 1981 and named after one of the most illustrious sons of Bengal as well as one of the doyens of Indian Renaissance; Pandit Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar. This is a renowned University in West Bengal with accreditation of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
