About College

Hijli College (HC), Paschim Medinipur was established in 1998 with the mission to promote higher education in this back ward region.  Its aim is to cater the needs of the rural youths of Bengal. Besides being conveniently located, the excellent infrastructure of the campus generates an ideal ambiance for studies. The college offers under graduate course in Arts and science Stream. The curriculum is designed by the Boards of Studies of Vidyasagar University. The college has state-of-the-art technologies and infrastructure.

The college is affiliated to Vidyasagar University, established in 1981. The University was named after one of the most illustrious sons of Bengal as well as one of the doyens of Indian Renaissance, Pandit Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar, has grown out of a long cultural and educational movement in West Bengal.  The University was established with a mission to fulfill the higher mainstream education needs of the region and at present it is imparting quality education and strives for socio-cultural as well as educational upliftment of the surrounding areas.
