About College

Institute of Education for Women Kolkata(IEFWK), Kolkata was established in the year 1954. It is a Government Institution, only for women. It is affiliated to University of Calcutta. The college offers Bachelor and Masters course in education.  Post National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) has given recognition in 2000. The Institute is dedicated to modernization of teacher education through quality improvement of Pre-service and In-service teacher training programmes. 

The college provides qualified lecturers to impart their experience to the students, which would help them in accomplishing their objective. The college has all the modern facilities to help the students in acquiring the skills of a teacher.
