Jangipur College

Jangipur College (JC), Murshidabad was established in 1950. This is a Government, Co- education College. The College is imparting the value-based higher education to the students. The aim of the college is to cater the needs of the rural youths of Bengal. The college offers the General Courses in discipline of Arts, Commerce and Science. Well-qualified and experienced lecturers help the students in accomplishing their aim. The college is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

The college is affiliated to University of Kalyani, established in 1960. The University of Kalyani was set-up in the post independence period. The University is an academic hub of sub urban region of West Bengal. The University provides academic guidance and leadership to several affiliated degree colleges and its territorial jurisdiction extends to the districts of Nadia, Murshidabad and parts of North 24 Parganas.
