About College

The college is affiliated to CHSE, Orissa . Previously the college was affiliated to Utkal University and during the session 1999-2000 when North Orissa University came into being, subsequently the college was affiliated to it. The college obtained permanent Govt. concurrence and affiliation and was registered under 2(f) and 12-B of the UGC Act 1966 in the year 1992.

The mission of the Institution is committed to the course of empowerment of rural tribal youth through access to education, particularly Higher Education enabling them to develop intellectually alive, socially responsible citizen eveready for continuous personal and professional development and to cultivate social, moral and spiritual values. Besides it provides wide range of both professional and conventional knowledge for rural tribal students to meet the changing needs of the society. It prepare plans and programmes for the alround development of students personality. The motto of the institution is to free people from all kinds of religious fanaticism , superstitution of caste and communalism.

The college has arrived at its present level of excellence academically and conducting examinations as per rules due to dedicated team work of the teaching and non teaching staff and constant support and encouragement from the management and above all moral and financial support and contribution of the people of the locality. The members of Jashipur College family are committed to strive hard to reach still greater heights of excellence in higher education, thus thereby fulfill the aspirations and expectations of the people of the locality.
